Frequently Asked Pricing Questions
Everything you need to know about purchasing and managing CiteRight credits.
Do purchased credits ever expire?
No. All purchased credits remain permanently in your CiteRight wallet until you decide to use them. You can buy credits today and use them weeks or months later for your final dissertation defense.
What happens if a scan encounters an error or fails?
If a document scan fails due to an extraction or connection issue, the credit is immediately and automatically refunded back to your account wallet. You will never be charged for an incomplete scan.
How are credits calculated for long manuscripts?
One standard credit covers up to 500 words. For larger projects, dissertations, or monographs, our platform automatically calculates the required credits beforehand (e.g., a 4,500-word paper uses 9 credits) so you always have full visibility before running the scan.
What payment methods are supported in Nigeria?
Through our secure Paystack integration, we accept all Nigerian debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Verve), Direct Bank Transfers, USSD, and digital wallets like OPay and PalmPay.
Are institutional discounts available for polytechnics and universities?
Yes. We offer customized departmental and institutional packages with dedicated multi-lecturer seats, shared credit pools, administrative audit dashboards, and direct invoice billing.
